Vincent Lamar Carter or popularly known as Vince Carter aka "Vinsanity" and "Air Canada" is an American professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association or NBA. Orlando Magic has currently acquired Carter as to be their Shooting Guard.
Carter is considered the greatest dunker of all time because of his incredulous dunks. The Vince Carter Dunks are considered undebatable and oftentimes unreal. The 2000 Slam Dunk Contest has been considered as the best slam dunk contest in the history, all because of Vince Carter. Of all his dunks however, his jump over 7'2" French Center Frederic Weis during the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia was considered to be one of the most amazing dunks of all time. Carter stole the ball, run, leaped with legs spread in midair, and hit Weis' head as he bent over to avoid the collision, before slamming the ball. Carter's dunk during the Olympics was considered as "The Dunk of Death" by the French media men or "le dunk de la mort" in their native language. Even his teammate Jason Kidd was awed at this performance "One of the best plays I have ever seen".
Vince Carter has numerous awards in his name. One of which is the NBA Slam Dunk Champion in 2000 which he completed with his distant cousin then team-mate Tracy McGrady. He is also a 8-time All Star awardee, 2-time All-NBA awardee in 2000 and 2001, NBA All-Rookie First Team awardee and The Sporting News NBA Rookie of the Year both in 1999. Carter is known to introduce various dunks - most are one-of-a-kind. He has introduced "Honey Dip" or the "Cookie Jar" dunk in the 2000 Slam Dunk Contest. Carter has often used "Honey Dip" as his specialty dunks along with his "Reverse 360 Windmill" and his "between-the-legs" dunks.
